  • What time is check-in and check-out?

    Check-in is at 4pm and check-out is at 11am.  


    We will try to accommodate early check-in and late check-out requests for an additional fee of $15 - please request this in advance so we can make adjustments ahead of time. Same day requests are not always possible, even if your room appears ready as it requires our time on the back end to adjust codes.

  • How do I check-in or check-out?

    All of our rooms feature smart locks for contactless check-in and check-out. You do not need to check-in or out in person at a reception desk. You will receive a 4 digit code via text and email at 9am on the day of arrival.


    When booking, please ensure that you provide us with your cell phone so that you can receive our texts. If a landline is given to us, it may cause issues in receiving your code.


    If you've made a same day booking, it will take approximate 5 minutes from when you receive your confirmation to when your code will be texted and emailed to you.

  • Do you staff your lobby?

    No, we do not staff our lobby.  If you need to get in touch with us during your stay, please text us at (218) 309-4640 for the quickest response.  You can also email us at stay@battlelakeinn.com.  


    The best way to make a reservation is online.  If you need additional assistance you can call the reservation line on (218) 862-2500.  This line goes straight to voicemail but is checked daily and we will return your call.

  • Can I make a same day booking?

    Yes, you can as long as it's before 9PM


    Please allow approximately 5 minutes from when you receive your confirmation email to receive the code for your room. This code will be texted and emailed over to you.

  • How do I know that my online booking is complete?

    When a booking is successfully made, a text and email will be immeditately sent to you. If you do not receive these messages, either the booking did not go through or there was an error in your phone number or email address.


    If you are unsure if the booking is complete, please give us a call at (218)862-2500 or text us at (218)309-4640 and we can confirm for you and/or update your contact details. We will need these to be correct so that you can recieve your room number and code before your arrival.

  • Do you have a minimum length of stay?

    Yes, sometimes we do! 


    Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, we require a two-night minimum on the weekends. Additional nights surrounding the holidays may also require a two-night minimum depending on what day of the week it is on. These minimums will be reflected through the availability when you book online.


    Starting on the last weekend of June 2024 until Labor Day 2024, we will not allow check-in or check-out on Saturdays. There is also a 2 night minimum during the week of the 4th of July.


    There is also a minimum 2-night stay on our Triple Queen Suite at all times. 

  • Do you allow pets?

    Yes, we allow dogs in select dog friendly rooms.  If you are bringing a dog please ensure that you select a dog friendly room and choose the 'Standard rate + Pet Fee' rate type.  We charge $15 per night and we limit the number of dogs to two per room.  Failure to select the appropriate rate will result in a $250 additional charge.


    Don't forget to bring your dog's favorite bed! We do not allow dogs to be on the beds and if there are signs that a dog has been on the bed, this will incur an extra charge for the time spent getting this clean for our next guest.

  • Do you have boat parking?

    Yes! Our parking lot is large enough for you to park to your vehicle with your trailer behind it in one parking spot. Please be considerate of other guests and don't take up 2 spots. 


    We also have plug ins for your boat if needed - they are located on the light posts and there is one on each side of the parking lot.

  • Is there a fish cleaning facility available?

    Yes! The RV Lodge to the west of the motel is a shared facility available for use for all motel guests. Your room code will work for the lodge during your stay. 


    We ask that you please follow the rules posted to help us keep the facility clean for our RV Park tenants and guests. 


    The RV lodge also has coin laundry and can be used as an additional gathering space for larger parties. 

  • Do you provide housekeeping?

    Yes, we do upon request. Please text us the day before and we can make arrangements with our staff. 


    For your convenience, there are extra towels, toiletries, coffee and ice in our lobby area. This is accessible with your room code anytime during your stay. 


    For our longer term guests, a minimum weekly clean will be scheduled with you in advance.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Reservations need to be cancelled 48 hours prior to check-in in order to receive a refund. However, if your plans change, please let us know as soon as you can so we have the best chance to sell your room.


    Cancellations can be made by either emailing stay@battlelakeinn.com or texting (218) 309-4640.


    Reservation made within 48 hours of checking-in are non-refundable. 

  • Do you accept cash or check?

    No, we only accept credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover). 


    We require your first night's stay as a deposit to complete your booking. The balance for your stay will be charged the day before check-in.


    The deposit will be refunded in accordance with our cancellation policy if applicable.
